"The wise speak only of what they know, Grima son of Galmod. A witless worm have you become. Therefore be silent, and keep your forked tongue behind your teeth. I have not passed through fire and death to bandy crooked words with a serving-man till the lightning falls."

-- Gandalf

Character Bio:

17th King of Rohan, and the last of his line. Theoden was withered under a spell of Saruman, through the evil counsels of Grima Wormtongue, but revived by the counsels of Gandalf in the year 3019. He then rode to Gondor, and fought valiantly in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields. The arrival of the Witch-King startled Theoden's steed, Snowmane, and she threw Theoden. Hitting his head upon a stone, Theoden soon died, and Eomer became King of the Mark. Theoden was instantly charmed by Merry, taking him into his service as a swordthain, and listening to his stories and songs with great joy.

Actor Bio:

Born on December 17, 1944 in Manchester, England. Not much else is available online with regards to this experienced actor who is to portray the Lord of the Mark of Rohan.
